Alliance for Community Transit-Los Angeles (ACT-LA)

Over a nine-month period, facilitated the development of a three-year strategic campaign plan to guide the work of a 35-member, multi-sector organization which seeks to mitigate displacement and create opportunity for working-class communities of color throughout LA County who are impacted by the expansion of Metro’s transit system. (2017-18)

 Fund for Inclusive California, Los Angeles Region Grantees

Designed and facilitated multi-day strategy retreat of the LA-based F4ICA grantees, including preparing landscape analysis of housing justice movement to establish context, and a final report summarizing retreat outcomes and establishing recommendations.  Retreat led to establishment of LA Housing Movement Lab as a convening and on-going strategy space to advance decommodification of housing. (2019)

 Enterprise Community Partners

Facilitated full-day multi-sector convening to formulate initial proposal for purpose, principles and structure of a joint powers authority and land bank to create affordable housing opportunities and advance climate resilience in the Los Angeles region. (2019)

 United Neighbors in Defense Against Displacement (UNIDAD)

Researched and prepared materials for campaign efforts regarding publicly-owned land. (2019)

 Los Angeles Regional and Open Space and Affordable Housing Collaborative (LA ROSAH)

With Estolano LeSar Advisors (now Estolano Advisors), facilitated a six-month long strategic planning process for the Los Angeles Regional Open Space and Affordable Housing Collaborative (LA ROSAH), including conducting interviews and focus groups with members and external partners, and designing and facilitating two full-day planning workshops with the multi-sector LA ROSAH Collaborative members.  (2018-19)
